Sunny Days

Journal Entry: Sat Apr 26, 2008, 10:23 AM
Looks like the sun is out for a little while. I may use this time to go on a bit of an adventure. If I can remember to grab my camera, you may get some pictures of Downtown Olympia.

Ah well

Journal Entry: Tue Mar 25, 2008, 5:04 PM
No such luck on picture taking today. The weather was pretty foul, and nothing really sprung out to me.

But there's always tomorrow. Who knew that, upon getting out of school for a break that I'd have a million other things to do that aren't school related?

I know I didn't...

I might post other pictures from my collection later though, just to make up for the lack of new stuff today.

Walkabout...

Journal Entry: Tue Mar 25, 2008, 11:44 AM
Today should prove interesting for me. I'm packing up my bag, throwing in a camelpack of water, getting a few other little supplies, and heading out for the day.

I don't get a chance to do this often. Typically, I'm either too lazy or too busy to go out and explore. But, I've got all of Spring Break ahead of me, so I figured "Why not?"

I wanted to start earlier, but my bed was just too damned tempting today. I'll be gone by a little after noon, to return sometime in the evening.

Why do you care, you may ask? Well, you should care because I'm going to bring my camera with me. Not to mention my trusty notebook. Provided it doesn't rain I'm going to be writing quite a bit. And if the Matt-Light decides to peek out from the clouds then I'll have some really great water pictures.

I'd only be happier if my iPod was working...

On the Road Again...

Journal Entry: Sun Feb 10, 2008, 11:30 AM
I feel as if it's been ten years since I last picked up a pen and said "Yes, now I'm going to write". In reality, it's been less than two, but none of the works I've done could be considered half-way decent. At least to my eyes.

I still consider everything I write on the same level as you'd put slop for a pig, but something has changed for me. It's going to sound very silly and immature, but bear with me please.

I got an A on an English paper.

The teacher spoke with me about the paper, and has demanded that I write, and write, and write. She feels that I have a chance, a real fighting chance, of getting published. One letter has brought my old dream back from the dead, and reminded me that I am and will always be a writer.

I've neglected deviant art for a long, long time. I started off on a great foot, but shortly after my last post here it all went to seed.

Let's see if I can start back fresh.

Hotel Room

Journal Entry: Sun Feb 20, 2005, 9:45 AM
This piece was another one seemingly written a lifetime ago. I wrote it after a fairly dull/depressed night, and kept it for some unknown reason.

The story itself wasn't hard to really pull off. The hardest part was that I couldn't remember what the texture on the ceiling was called, if anything. So I used the characters inexperience to my advantage.

The hotel scene in general was somewhat difficult to make in general, but I got a decent image in my head and just went with it.

Something tells me I'm going to have to get off my lazy tail and start writing more often now.

As a side note:
The character talking is named Ras Rondel, and has a fairly shallow story when compaired to Jason's. He's going to be the type to enjoy the things in life that Jason can't seem to find, and I want to display a stark contrast between them as soon as I can.
